Codes and Conventions of Film Posters

Between writing our final version of the script I decided to do some research into the codes and conventions of film posters, one of my two ancillary tasks supporting the main production and so looking at some previously created A2 blogs, paying attention to the advertisements around me and researching particular films I have found out that film posters for short films are not so different from film posters for feature films. Previously the amount of budget would be a big decider in spending money on advertisements however now in the age of Photoshop even small production companies can compete with oligopolies for the most creative and griping posters on the market.
